Chapter 1: A New Journey Begins!

Chapter 1: A New Journey Begins!

A Chapter by Steven Alexander Williams

A prison lies inside the depths of Hell. This prison holds those who threaten to harm our world. The prison is populated by over three hundred inmates, ten of which pose a dangerous threat to the world if they were ever released. The prison is guarded by ten flights, each consisting of one Sergeant and twenty Hell Keepers. No inmate has ever been capable of attempting an escape. Until that is...
"He's gone!," as a Hell Keeper shouted. Panic went running around the depths of the prison as this man was no where to be found in his prison cell. Hell Keepers searched the prison for any signs of escape. "Did any of you men find him? Did any of you men release him without the Commander's request?," A Hell Sergeant asked his flight. "No Sir!," replied the flight.
The Commander's voice then came on from the intercoms. "Sergants, Hell Keepers! Prepare for battle! Number 2-17 has escaped. I repeat, number 2-17 has escaped! Expect the unexpected my men!"
"Did you hear that men? Prepare for battle!," the Sergeant told his flight.
"Sir, yes sir!," the Flight shouted back.
"Are you… Looking for me?," a calm deep soft voice said from above.
"Get him!," the Flight shouted as they spotted the fugitive and charged at him. Tons of blood scattered in the air as he killed the entire flight just by blinking his eye. The fugitive then walked up to the Sergeant.
"From how they just decided to charge at me, these men looked like they were really faithful," the fugitive said. The Sergeant then pulled out a sword as the fugitive got closer. "Stay back! I'm warning you!," the Sergeant yelled.
"That's too bad now because I'm going to have to kill you," the fugitive said. He then punched his entire fist into the Sergeant's heart and killing him. "How pathetic," the fugitive said.
Other flights with their Sergeants ran to the scene where the fugitive was at. "There he is! Get him!," a Sergeant yelled. The other eight flights came to the scene. Now he was surrounded by nine flights.
"Well let's see… There's a hundred eighty-nine of you against one of me.," the fugitive said, "let's make this fair and take the Sergeants out of things. Tone it down to hundred eighty against one."
The Sergeants decided to follow his wishes and backed down from the fight. The Sergeants then commanded their Hell Keepers to attack the fugitive one flight at a time.
"Give me your best shot," the fugitive whispered.
"C Flight, Attack!," one Sergeant commanded. The flight then went to attack the fugitive. At the snap of the fugitive's fingers, blood was again scattered in the air as this flight was killed. The other flights stood shocked as they saw what had just happened. "Retreat!," the Sergeants shouted. The flights then ran away from the fugitive. "Well this isn't fun anymore," the fugitive said.
The Commander's voice came on again from the intercoms. "Fools! Why are you running away? Think again about how many of us there are compared to him."
"The commander's right! We can't back down when we have the advantage!," a Hell Keeper shouted. They all agreed and ran back ready to attack the fugitive. "Well then, I guess it's play time again," the fugitive said. An ocean of blood then flooded the prison floor as he put one hand up which led to the deaths of everyone around him. Over two hundred corpses laid on the bloody floor as the fugitive walked away from the scene.
"Now, it's time to free the other nine and dominate the world once more," the fugitive said. He then walked over to another inmate's cell.
"Well boss, why am I not surprised? You broke out of it," said a slow eerie voice from the shadow of the cell.
"It's stupid they surrounded us with guards not in our strength category, " the fugitive said, "but Akuma, it's time we break the other eight out of here and get our revenge!"
"So, we're gonna kill her? I'd say let me do the honors," Akuma said.
"I rather kill her myself. As you know, it's personal between me and her," the fugitive said.
"You were her toughest challenge anyways, Masato Kimura," Akuma said "so I guess you have the honors then."
Masato then helped break Akuma out of his prison cell and were off to break the others out as well. "The world will once again fall to our feet!," Masato shouted.

"I'm so proud of you Shūsuke!," a woman's voice shouted in pride, "You proved how smart you are and you're starting High School a year early!"
Shūsuke Matsuda is a 14 year old boy. He lives with his mom and his 10 year old sister. Due to outstanding grades in his 2nd year of Junior High, he was told he would be advanced to a first year High School student. "Mom, it's no big deal, it's not like they let me graduate early," Shūsuke said.
"No big deal?!?," his mom shouted, "You are starting high school a year early! Technically you are graduating early!"
"Yeah, yeah, I guess," Shūsuke said.
"You can finally make friends and probably get a girlfriend too," his mom said.
"Girlfriend?!? No way, I'm too busy for one!," Shūsuke shouted.
"Everyone falls in love, Shūsuke. You'll find that girl one day, maybe today, who knows," his mom said.
"Shūsuke getting a girlfriend!? Like that'll ever happen!," a little girl's voice shouted.
"Ayako, shut up!," Shūsuke said, "you're only 12."
"Mom! Shūsuke said that word again!," Ayako yelled.
"Both of you stop fighting and go back getting ready for school," their mom said.

~Hokori High School. 8:30AM~

"Good morning class," the teacher greeted.
"Good morning Mr. Yamamoto," the entire class greeted back.
"I know it's the first day of the year and everything, but I'd like to call Shūsuke Matsuda up here," Mr. Yamamoto said. Shūsuke got up from his seat and walked up to the front of the room. On his way there, he can hear his classmates whispering to each other about him. They all knew about his outstanding grades. Some praised him and some talked down on him.
"Please Mr. Matsuda, tell the class a little more about yourself?," Mr. Yamamoto asked. Shūsuke just stood there, listening to all the negative comments being whispered about him from his classmates. He had his head down to hide the look of embarrassment on his face. Shūsuke walked back to his desk and put his head down for the remainder of the class. He could still hear the comments being made about him going on and on in his head.

~After School. 4PM~

"D****t. Why do I have to be so smart? Everyone was calling me a nerd the whole day," Shūsuke said to himself, sitting alone in a empty classroom. The door cracked open a little. Shūsuke immediately looked over at door. "Who's there!," he shouted. Shūsuke got up and went to go look outside the classroom. He noticed no one nearby except for a couple making out further down the hallway.
"Mmhmm babe, calm down," the girl said, "let's wait until we get in the car."
The guy reached into his pocket. "D****t, I left the condom at home," the girl's boyfriend said.
"It's okay, I took some of my sister's birth control earlier. You don't have to worry about pulling out," the girl said. The couple then walked downstairs to handle some business.
"Gross. Go get a room," Shūsuke whispered. Shūsuke glanced around the hallway to see if there was anyone else. "I guess it was just my imagination," Shūsuke said as he was walking back to his desk. He then heard the window crack open and quickly turned around. "What the hell is going on!," Shūsuke shouted. He saw nobody around. "I better head home, it's getting creepy here," Shūsuke said to himself.

~Hokori, Japan. 5pm~

"I swear Mark! Give it back!," a little boy yelled.
"Or what? You won't do a damn thing, Gin!," Mark said as he was holding Gin's backpack above his head. Gin then started to punch Mark's stomach as hard as he can. "You really think that hurts? I'll show you something that'll hurt," Mark shouted as he went on to kick Gin in the stomach.
"Wow Mark, did you really just kick that 5 year old in stomach?," Shūsuke said.
"Well, look who has the balls to confront me. Don't you have a dead dad to go cry about?," Mark said.
"That's pretty immature for a 16 year old to be acting like," Shūsuke said, "how about you pick on someone your own size."
"That's it, you just asked for the biggest a*s beating of your life, Shūsuke!," Mark shouted as he ran towards Shūsuke. Mark tried to hit him with the backpack multiple times, but Shūsuke was able to dodge each attempt. "That's the best you can aim?," Shūsuke asked.
"Why you little piece of s**t," Mark said as he went for one more swing. Shūsuke was able to grab the backpack and kick Mark between his legs. As Mark got down on his knees, Shūsuke then began to kick him in the stomach multiple times. Shūsuke then finished the beat down off by kicking him in the face. "Next time, I'm going to kick your twice as hard if you pick on another little kid! Got that, b***h?," Shūsuke shouted. Shūsuke then got the backpack and went to return it to Gin.
"Thank you so much, Shūsuke," Gin said.
"It's no problem, Gin. If any other punks are giving you trouble, just let me know," Shūsuke said.
"Yes Sir!," Gin happily shouted as he began to walk away.
"That was very brave," a voice said from behind Shūsuke. Shūsuke turned around to see there was a girl a few feet behind him. "Who are you and what do you want?," Shūsuke asked.
"Don't worry about anything. I saw you at school a few times today. I feel bad for the way everyone was treating you," the girl said.
"How about you don't worry about me? I'm perfectly fine of taking care of myself," Shūsuke replied, "The last thing I need is some stranger trying to protect me."
"Wait," the girl said.
"What do you want now?," Shūsuke said.
The girl then reached over her back and pulled out a sword that had 心音 (jap. "Sound of the heart") written on the blade. "Where the hell did you get that sword from?!," Shūsuke asked.
"The reason why I'm talking to you now isn't because I feel bad for you," the girl said.
"Oh well thanks," Shūsuke said.
"Don't interrupt me!," the girl shouted at him.
"Fine, I'm sorry," Shūsuke said.
"I'm a Tenshi (jap. "angel"), and I've noticed you're being followed," the girl said.
"Yeah, by you," Shūsuke whispered. The girl then swung her sword at him, but failed to cut him. "What the hell! You could have cut me in half!," Shūsuke shouted.
"Then shut your dumbass up and listen!," the girl shouted, "I'll make sure I won't miss next time if you f*****g interrupt me again!"
A street light pole then began to flick on and off constantly until sparks flew out of the pole. "What the hell is going on?," Shūsuke asked. The rest of the poles around them then began to do the same altogether. Sparks were then flying towards Shūsuke and the girl. "Shin'on! Shield!," the girl shouted as she stabbed her sword into the ground. A transparent shield quickly surrounded and protected them from the sparks. A person covered in a black gown then came walking towards Shūsuke and the girl. "Are you the one that's been following him for the last hour?," the girl asked. The person then revealed their face. It was a woman who's face was deformed. Her left eye socket was empty, half of her nose was ripped off, her face was burnt, and blisters were covering her top lip. "Look what we have here. A Tenshi," the woman said.
The girl looked frightened. "This shield is going to go out soon," the girl said.
"You have the sword and she has nothing, you can easily win," Shūsuke said.
"No. You don't get it," the girl said, "This woman is known as The Mind Gamer."
"Well that's a cute name," Shūsuke said.
"It's not. Once this shield goes out, it's most likely the end for you. She'll cast a spell on you to control your body and try to kill me," the girl explained.
"Is there a way you can avoid that from happening?," Shūsuke asked.
"No. You would have to be a Tenshi for her spell not to work on you," the girl said. The shield then disintegrated.
"Well would you look at that? Your shield is gone and now that boy is mine," The Mind Gamer said. She slowly began to walk up to Shūsuke, but the girl had her sword ready to attack. "Take one more step and I'll cut you into an million pieces," the girl said. The Mind Gamer then took her left hand out and a light pole fell down, landing on the girl. She continued to slowly walk up to Shūsuke. Shūsuke stood there frozen. "Run! Find somewhere safe!," the girl shouted. The Mind Gamer held her right hand out, which soon enough, was holding the girl's sword. She placed the blade of the sword softly next to Shūsuke's neck. "Now, I'm going to cast a short spell on you. You'll think you're living the life but in reality, I'm going to kill you," The Mind Gamer said.
"Run!," the girl shouted.
"Now then, on my count to 3, you will collapse and you will die," The Mind Gamer said, "1... 2... 3." Shūsuke stood there and then collapsed. The Mind Gamer turned around and smiled at the girl. "Now for you to get killed by your own blade," she said to the girl. As she pointed the sword at the girl, a strong sudden burst of wind surrounded them. "What the hell is going on!," The Mind Gamer shouted.
Shūsuke was standing up with a sword in his hand and his face down. "Hey girl," Shūsuke said, "Shūsuke Matsuda, who are you?"
"Kokone Ogawa, I'm a senior at your school," Kokone answered.
"Seems like this is the start of something," Shūsuke said, "I'm guessing I'm a Tenshi?"
"From the looks of it, yes," Kokone replied.
"Awe that's cute, but why talk when you're all gonna die," The Mind Gamer said.
Shūsuke then held his sword up above his head. "I want you to run towards me and see how my luck goes here," Shūsuke said.
"A challenge? Fine!," The Mind Gamer shouted. She ran towards Shūsuke, ready to attack with Kokone's sword. In one attack, Shūsuke killed her by cutting her neck off. "Easy win, Kokone. I told you," Shūsuke said.
"Yeah whatever. Just help me up," Kokone said.
