Once wholeA Poem by willwebI picked up a little leaf floating in the rain swollen gutter slowly down this deserted road towards a large opening
A wide mouthed drain swalloing everything in sight, was pleading for more to satisfy its voracious appetite
Falls leading to a cavernous abyss, slipping between the cracks of a heart which once was whole, slamming to the rocks below
But this shivering little leaf plucked from a raging torrent, I placed in my pocket where it was dry and warm
