Volume controlA Poem by willwebMy world is
noisy Telephones ringing,
being answered Conversations
about the prior night The hum of
the air conditioner kicking on Coffee poured, spilled, swallowed Trash tossed, missed and tossed again Doors opening
and closing, slamming Coughing,
sneezing, the clearing of a throat Fingers on
keyboards typing away Laughter,
complaining, arguing Papers being
shuffled, faxed, copied, stapled The printer
spitting out another sheet Squeaking
chairs, footsteps, clicking pens Outside traffic roars, horns blow Tires on asphalt screech to a stop Sirens wail from a passing ambulance Birds sing and squawk, dogs bark the wind howls... My world is
noisy I haven’t
heard from you in weeks, the silence
is killing me © 2014 willwebReviews
