Rock steadyA Poem by willwebSongs of my youth haunt me to this day as if melodies embarce seasons passing with calender pages turned
Summer swings through on a cardboard concert sign, a band much older than I, but young at the time touching minds via black lights and day-glo paints
Hard rock has softened, loud is lowered air guitars still exist, Fender, Gibson...your choice only on plaid shirted arms and striped shorts to match
Hair bands now clean shaven, suits and ties, shoes??? Kids of their own grown, creating a new sound, even Metallica..to a certain extent
Apparitions in a ghostly machine sting in my brain, locked on tight Broken record thoughts in constant rotation collect me for the next train...kept a rollin
