Safe Harbor

Safe Harbor

A Poem by willweb

Charted on the vast unknown,

unfolded maps and compass points

hypnotized by wingless waves

pitching to the smiles of life

Drinking in the ecstasy,

talking to the sun hovering overhead,

knowing each grain of sand

holds the warmth you send me

Every glance in my direction

from calm waters of desires

and seashell echoes

bring a soft breeze

Filling my sails

with the essence of tropic’s bliss,

in whistled seafarer song

and blue sky whims

Calling in an eternal chorus

of footprint sonatas

along a cool shoreline

laced in tidal woven outlines

And no matter how far I must sail,

the island of your love

shall always be my safe harbor

dropping anchor - forever
