SidelinesA Poem by willwebIt is funny how sides work, no, not green beans and mashed potatoes, opposite areas of that imaginary line running straight through a relationship A division of two people, often in love, or so they say Playing the game on a tilted field, an uneven surface Lines in the sand, drawn deeply with a sharp stick a crevice separating smiles showing its teeth grinning, sort of It is a matter of principle, Welcome to the principles office Small requests fall in that drawer, big desires " yeah, whatever Feelings, that file over there, emotions, piled in the corner Do the math Person #1 wants it Person #2 delivers Person #2 wants it Person #1 denies So which side of the line do we stand here - or fall? © 2014 willwebReviews
