Residual Playthings

Residual Playthings

A Poem by willweb
"

Inspired by a song, nothing more, nothing less...maybe. :)

"

Wrapped in cellophane and

paper mocking evergreens

Screaming at the shadowed walls

as nightmares cover dreams

Lurking near the bottles filled

with empty molten fears

Dampening the diapers

as a mother cries her tears

We’ll go dancing nightly

in the attic

while the moon is rising

in the sky

If I’m too drunk tell me,

I’m so scared your little

head will come off

in my hands

Counting money residue

on blackened fingernails

Billion dollar babies

sing in toothless whining wails

Toddlers of the devil’s creed

wear plastic floating eyes

Staring at you while you sleep

little monsters in disguise

What's under your bed?

Nicely done. Like the spook in you a whole lot. Alice is the father of creep. Thanks for that.

No problem Richard, glad I could help. :)
i did not think the italicized verses were necessary and am actually pleased to find you did not write them .. not surprised a possession occured while listening to an artist that bites the heads off chickens (allegedly)

i like this rather dark poem of "...bottles filled
with empty molten fears"

perfect pic .. the only thing that can come close is a freaky evil clown ;)

My pleasure, but now I'm really afraid to go sleeping. :)
I love this!
Alice Cooper is one of my favorite singers and I can relate to this with his music.
Wonderful verses weaved with his words.
Creepy--but so like Alice!
Scary dolls in the dark and monsters lurking in the shadows...
what happens next?

LOL--YES! :) YOU ARE WELCOME!
Scary places and weird creatures....dark corners.
This was indeed creepy. Something about this reminded me of abortion, as though the resurrected abortion babies have become angry zombie-like creatures protesting what was done to them... I hope that's not offensive.
