Residual PlaythingsA Poem by willwebInspired by a song, nothing more, nothing less...maybe. :)
Wrapped in cellophane
and paper mocking
evergreens Screaming at the
shadowed walls as nightmares cover
dreams Lurking near the
bottles filled with empty molten
fears Dampening the diapers as a mother cries her
tears We’ll go dancing nightly in the attic while the moon is rising in the sky If I’m too drunk tell me, I’m so scared your little head will come off in my hands Counting money residue on blackened
fingernails Billion dollar babies sing in toothless
whining wails Toddlers of the devil’s
creed wear plastic floating
eyes Staring at you while
you sleep little monsters in disguise
What's under your bed?
