I took the sun for granted

I took the sun for granted,

when I saw it in your eyes

For nothing was more magical

on any dawning skies

 

Reflections filled with wonder,

tinted shades, a hazel hue

A captivating vision,

so enchanted was my view

 

For even when it’s cloudy,

chilly rains fall from above

The heavens hold the wishes

of your never-ending love

 

I took the sun for granted,

now no need for its display

Your beauty is my sunrise,

every morning, every day
