high flying kindA Poem by willwebReplacement poetryAs I walked to the beach this morning I saw a young boy frowning, sitting at the end of the road staring out towards the ocean "What's up Dude?" "Nothing, just watching my friends playing on the beach, but I can't go down there." I looked out and saw a group of kids flying kites and having a grand time. "Oh, I see. I'll be right
back." I returned within minutes with my kite and quickly got it aloft, flying near the others in the summer sky I then tied the string off to the arm of his wheelchair "There you go, now you can play with them too." He smiled the best smile I had ever seen and said, "Gee thanks mister!" © 2022 willwebAuthor's Note
