Early Autumn Chill

Early Autumn Chill

A Poem by willweb

~

Azure blue November mornings

aromas waft on frosted air

Tapestries of leaves a’ drifting

painted in a fall affair

Pinecones rest a winding pathway

pumpkin pies atop the sill

Scarves are readied by the doorway

for the early Autumn chill

Autumn is a stunningly breathtaking season.
I have never truly experienced it...and I needn't, as your poetry says it all...

I am drawn, my friend. Keep writing!
Autumn’s chill used to be my favorite time of year. Now, I find myself longing for the warmth of Summer, as my bones become hard and my joints stiff. Ha.

I felt the season in the poem and enjoyed the experience. Well written.

Scott.
