A piece written to the melody of The Beatles song "Elanor Rigby"

Seeing the sadness now found in the tears in her eyes

Silent her sighs

 

Why is she waiting

Here on the steps that are worn from the worry she bears

Off to a place that is empty of something to hold

Author's Note

Most I am sure will not know this song but those who do, how do the lyrics fit to the music? I just got a wild hair and thought I would try to find a way to make Elanor happy.

This Parody perefectly fits the Eleanor Rigby song. Very well done Willweb. I am a huge Beatles fan and I almost spent 3 months studying on the Beatles every album and track and their lives and everything couple of years ago. If you haven't watched the Get Back documentry( which I guess you have watched), go watch it ASAP. Hats off to all the Beatles fans, Viva Beatles!

I have seen "Get Back" and I understand that Paul's daughter is coming out with an Abbey Road documentary as well.

It was not true, Paul is not dead but it took the music scene by storm when someone brought it out into the light. And whether it was planned or not...the clues were very uncanny and very fun to look for and find. Paul being the only one wearing a black carnation on the Magical Mystery Tour album art of the VW on Abbey Road with a license plate that reads, 28IF which they said at the time he was supposed to have died, Paul would have been 28 if he had lived and the fact that the 4 of them crossing the street...John is dressed as a preacher, George as a grave digger, Ringo an undertaker and Paul, in black suit and barefoot as the deceased. It was fun look for all of the clues.

I believe it is at the end of Strawberry Fields, but if you listen closely all the way to the end you will hear a voice say, "I buried Paul". It is there. Check it out sometime if you get a chance.

Yes I do know the song Will it was part of my era. I thought as I began to read it, you should have been writing songs for the Beatles. It seems to fit very well indeed. I love your rendition it. The original speaks of all the lonely people, isolation, sadness. at least yours ends on a more positive note. Nicely done

I have heard this song. A sketch of lonely people. Your words fit in quite well with the song and I could sing a few lines in the same tune. I guess we're all lonely at some point so it's about all of us. The happy ending was a plus and Elanor seems smiling now.
