Morning love song

Yep, another love poem

I gazed upon an orchid sky and thought that I heard singing,

a melody adrift the yawning breeze

So lovely were the harmonies, their happiness now bringing,

meandering through budding apple trees

 

I listened for a while to the wonder I was hearing,

amidst the glistened dew this dampened lawn

It seemed it was an echo from a distant far-off clearing,

to brighten up this slowly rising dawn

 

When then it did occur to me this whispered music streaming,

its resonance from deep inside did start

I closed my eyes and realized it was of you, my dreaming,

this morning love song came from in my heart

A beautiful thought or dream it was enhanced by the lightness of the print and almost dreamlike quality of its lightness and the font itself. Coincidence that I was on the same track in one of my last poems about nature and its music.
