this night along the sea

She laid upon the silken sand,

a sunset in her heart

Awaiting the returning tide

with evening soon to start

 

Now watching from a distant dune,

enchanting was her grace

Reflections of a silent star

aglow upon her face

 

She called my name in whispers sent,

my footprints wove a line

Across this beach in shadows cast

of moonbeams come to shine

 

Her beauty took me to a place,

where I had wished to be

Upon this shore within her arms,

this night along the sea

This poem was ethereal and effervescent at the same time. I loved the rhyme scheme and meter that gave it that feeling. You always have such great images Will.
