So sweet the sound of violins,

melodies played softly free

A symphony ‘pon wistful whims,

velvet strings on quiet breeze

 

Enchantingly the music plays,

tender as the night is new

Harmonic dreams we capture here,

moments forming of the view

 

Listen as their song does take us,

far away, angelic sound

Floating beyond pure sensation,

on this evening we have found

 

Neath a moon of crescent shining,

here as only we can be

Sonnets formed of heartbeat fashion,

smooth they float so tenderly

 

Take my hand and I will lead you,

over hill of green design

‘long a path so gently swaying,

strolling in three quarter time

 

Destiny did pen the lyrics,

words we sing in harmony

My heart hears devotion’s chorus,

every night you’re here with me

A beautiful and lyrical musical journey will.
I was always quite fearful of classical music and know next to nothing about it, but recently found out about a guy called Choppin' (it helps keep it street if you don't attempt the French accent) and his nocturnes.
I know it ain't violin, but it is the ultimate of chill out music and doesn't half knock me out. I only wish I knew that during our recent heatwave.
I must try listening to it when awake, as I have no clue what the latter half sounds like, but I'll send you the link to my review as soon as I stay awake long enough to listen to it.
This does remind me of a piece I heard in violin, by that Scottish violinist Nicola Bennedetti??? (I've heard her talk and she is Scottish, I assure you) It reminded me of autumn and leaves blowing in the wind and never quite landing, just continuing as the music fades into the distance.
So after some silly o'clock in the morning deep thought, I have come to the conclusion that for my review I could have just typed "ME LIKEY!" 😊

The violin generates more romantic music than perhaps any other instrument. I mean, could you imagine these lines being accompanied by a tuba? An accordion? A Jew's Harp? Certainly not. It requires a sound that touches the heart and conjures up visions of being led "over hill of green design." Haven't made up my mind about the bagpipes yet.
