Dressed all in leatherA Poem by willweb~ Dressed all in leather, green in her hair, no one to notice and no one to care She went out walking, a slow country street, never once thinking of who she might meet Fingernails, lips and her eyelids in black, big heavy boots with their lace in the back She saw him coming, he had his own style, blue eyes and brown hair, the friendliest smile She kept on walking, she had to decide, watching him staring with no place to hide He with his glove and his ball and his bat, white tennis shoes and a red baseball hat "Hi, how you doing?" He said with a grin, that's when she felt a blush start to begin "My name is Jack, I have seen you around, once in the park and the other in town" "My name is Cheryl, I live over there." Was all that she said, he continued to stare, She was so pretty, a pleasant surprise, a beautiful smile and those gorgeous brown eyes "I've got a game, a bit later today, if you would like, come along, watch me play?" She wasn't much of a baseball type fan, but she didn't have not another thing planned He took her hand and they walked to the field, what were these feelings her heart now revealed She took her seat just outside of third base, still mesmerized by his cute boyish face After a while, when she started to cheer, he blew her a kiss, all was suddenly clear He said, "Later on, there's a dance at the school, if you'd go with me that would really be cool" The hour had come, he arrived at her place, so nervous, he sighed as his pulse it did race But when she walked out, his heart skipped a beat for she was quite different from the girl he did meet A bright yellow sundress, a nice matching bow, her blonde hair a flowing, a magical glow When more than a smile, she started to laugh, at the site she did see standing there in her path A black leather jacket with chains on the side, torn denim jeans with the pantlegs so wide Big combat boots and a t-shirt in white, they both had to laugh at this comical sight They walked hand in hand, now as odd as it seemed, for both were the answer to each other's dream So, needless to say they both had a great time and now so have I, I have finished this rhyme . . .finally ~
