Deep in my voice

Just when I thought there was

no use in singing

Someone was crying with

pain in her eyes

Reaching beyond every

melody bringing

She touched my hand as my

heart realized

Merely a lyric of love

and devotion

Stood in the way

of her very next tear

So overcome, I then

showed my emotion

Deep in my voice that her

heart longed to hear
