The Wind

The Wind

A Poem by Christopher Holley
"

the way we live

"

The wind comes and goes

Taking with it the essance of the opposed.

As we fail to see the complexity of our dreams

And the light of which they bring.

We take life for granite and run toward the sea

But we cant imagine the life it breaths.

We fall into false hope and glory of the future

And in the past we forget the power and repitince

Of what past acts pull across the opressing light

We pay strive and thrive off the world and its pretences.

We cant try to grasp the art of what has happened.

So we shall try to strive off what we can learn and bring the past to life.

This poem is truly a beautiful work of art! My favorite line:

Of what past acts pull across the oppressing light

Just love it! A wonderful read!
