Rejection Revised

Long ago, I wrote about rejection. I pondered on it a few years, and realized it was wrong

Here's a revision on rejection
Its not that I'm drawn to it
It's more that I anticipate it
I analyze it and obsess on its arrival
And therefore I cause it.

I have yet to master
The ability to adapt and conform
To be exactly what he wants of me
He is every man
Every man that comes into my life.

He wants something of me
But I cannot conform
Because he does not say
He will not tell me
What he really wants from me.

This is I,
I'm not your average everyday girl
I can be obsessive
But its just because
I cannot not know.

If left in the dark
I'm left vulnerable
Open to emotional attacks
Open to mind games
Open to inevitable rejection.
