Justice

Justice

A Poem by Winterspell
"

My frustrations at the justice system

"
I walk into the police station, hoping to find justice.

I tell them what happened. I tell them what she did to me. I know we weren't dating, so it doesn't count as a crime.
I tell them she has a partner. I tell them she might do it again. I tell them to put my concerns on record. They say they will investigate.
They ask about mental conditions. I say self-diagnosed autism, but she mistrusts medicine, so grain of salt. They say this might explain some of it.
I ask what the next steps are. They say they will investigate if she's doing it again. They say they cannot tell me the outcome.

I walk out of the police station.
I cannot find justice.
