The Devil

The Devil

A Story by Belinda Hecht
"

The darkness is a scary thing, but what is it like for people who suffer from bullying and depression?

"

Tears stream down her face as she reaches out for someone, anyone. She opens her mouth to cry out for help, but nothing comes out. Her tears fill her vision, causing her only to see darkness, the darkness which engulfs her into a lonely place. The evil devil, which visits her every night, cackles. His persuasive voice fills her head, telling her lies which are not true. He even sometimes hands her beautiful toys which she plays with. Once, she is done playing with her toys, he allows her to fall into a deep slumber. When people fall asleep, they eventually wake up. However, the devil has decided to keep her this time. The devil will keep her in the darkness forever.

I hope you got the idea of this short story if not, I tried to write it about bullies and what people with depression go through.
