light (at the end of the tunnel)A Poem by ❀ Gabriela ❀If there’s light at the end of the tunnel, how I wish it would spare me a wink…
If there’s light at the end of the tunnel,
how I wish it would spare me a wink. Just the faintest small glimmer or sparkle; I could bear trudging onward, I think. For it feels like I’m running in circles, that I’m chasing dead-ends in the dark. But if one beam of light were to greet me; just the littlest twinkle, or spark I could summon the will to keep going (it feels senseless to trudge on in vain). But it’s this, or I dwell with the shadows- I suppose I must go on, just the same. … © 2025 ❀ Gabriela ❀Featured Review
