Lap Dog

Lap Dog

A Poem by Wolf Wrenn

Meaningful lust for some form of power
Like a lap dog until the end
Blinders push us forward
Though, they always fall to the ground
Trampled over by everything else
Flooding into your blood
Like a disease with a cause
Your guilt shall roll you over
Before you're even in the grave
It will love you like no other
No other shall love you the same
