Inner Bits

Inner Bits

A Poem by Wolf Wrenn

Keep me feeling wrong
Every word from this mouth falls flat
all the knowledge
All this silly time spent thinking
To be it's all out of proportion
It always, it always will be
Even my own mind starts its critique
Second guessing every second guess
This is how you lose sight
Living in a dome of unsure questions and answers
You catch your everyday in a riddle
Where everything feels like a trick question
Sure,
You could always pick multiple choice,
Guess wildly, and hope for the best
No connections
No inner thoughts driving you deeper within yourself
Maybe getting it out of your system
Telling someone else
Hoping this makes sense
Not just words thrown at a wall
In hopes they stick to someone else's conscious
The only restitute is sleep
When the dreams aren't asking the nightmares about their day
