No EscapeA Poem by Elizabeth Reed
The darkness, the black, the silence deafening as it pulls you, claws you, tears you apart
You scream for help but nothing, silence, no words escape you lips You can't escape it, the blackness, the horror, the terror that's inside you You can't get away, though you try, how you try, try so desperately to escape How can you escape? How can you escape something so dark that clings to you, that owns you, that's inside you? You can't escape, you can't get away. How could could you get away? How is it possible? Is it possible? Is it possible to escape yourself?
