A Hug Can Do Wonders

I hate that I can feel myself slipping.

I hate that I know how to fix it,

But the cure is too far away.

I need a hug.

Not a hug from my best friend or my parents.

I need one from you.

We never hugged before 

But when you're arms were beside me I felt safe.

Grounded.

I haven't felt that from anyone before.

You make everything seem okay,

Like I can get through it all.

So that's why I'm up at eleven p.m. yet again.

Because it hurts.

Because you dim the pain every time

So all I need to make it better is a hug from you.
