I would love to tell you how I knew.

I knew you were something special,

By the way you kissed me in the poorly lit basement.

I never thought of my first kiss as my first,

Because I felt nothing.

Not the knots in my stomach,

Or the way my heart was ticking like a time-bomb.

You gave me that thrill of romance,

That feeling of security when you were hesitant
