Where Did My Dreams Go?

Where did my dreams go,
When you took them away?
You sent them to a different day.
Not in the past that I no longer see.
Not in the present here with me.
In the future?
I guess that must be so
You sent them there for me to find
Maybe in a few short years,
Or maybe a lifetime.
