I'll miss this, but i'll return

I'll miss this, but i'll return

A Poem by InsaneWritter
"

I just spent the past 7 weeks of my life hanging out with people I feel I had a real connection with at a summer camp I worked at and I don't want it to end quite yet.

"

Camp is done, the fun has faded,
Next year waits"unwritten, shaded.
I wonder what the days will bring,
What faces, laughs, and songs I’ll sing.

This year’s closed, its story told,
With friendships formed, both bright and bold.
New cultures shared, new hearts I met,
Moments I’ll never quite forget.

I wish it wasn’t time to part,
But camp has etched into my heart
A thousand memories, warm and true,
Of people I’ll miss, and skies so blue.

No campers left, but still we stayed"
Silverwood rides, wild and unafraid.
We screamed and laughed ‘til voices broke,
I’ll miss that joy, that final joke.

Still I wonder, soft and slow,
What next summer’s winds will blow.
New friends to meet, new songs to sing,
And memories waiting in the spring.
