Rain, Rain, Why must it Rain

She said: It's raining, this sucks, I said: Write a poem about the feelings that rain brings to you.

Tell me:

How the clouds hang low and forbid the sun from warming the sands on your beach
How the thought of those tiny grains between your toes will be cool to the touch

How wishing for sunlight to bless your face is lost in the dreary grays and misty rains

Tell me how your heart feels saddened

Yet you know the rains will wash away the dull
And brighten the blooms that feed off the the heavenly showers

 When will the sun peek through to brighten your day
 When will your face reflect the glow and your smile shine as brightly

I long for that smile and wish you beautiful images to dream about

May the rains be a blessing to you 

And to the flowers

In your garden of life.

This poem could be written to ME! I am a sunshine girl. It is obvious that the narrator adores the one who is saddened by the rain. He understands her deeply, and wishes her happiness. He is blessed to see her joyful, and is tender to her in her dark times. My favorite lines:
