Like a Snowflake

A little love poem

Softly they fall

Tiny glistening wonders of nature

Each and every one a treasure to behold

Unique and unlike any other

Delicate and fragile, Beautiful,

 

Yet, they can melt the moment they touch a warm hand

 

And like the sparkling snowflakes

That were captured on a winters day

You melted my heart when you took my hand,

 

And another wonder of nature occurred:

A glistening treasure to behold,

Unique and like no other;

“We fell in love”

Here in the desert, I can only dream of a white Christmas. On the other hand, I could take the cable car up to the snow on Mt San Jacinto; it's only a half hour drive and a ten minute aerial tram ride. Your poem has inspired me to do just that.
