Illusions, Dreams or FantasyA Poem by TraceA collaboration poem with the amazing MsJewel.
On golden sheets, of sunlight’s kiss
lady of light, of dawn, of dew wrapped in the warmth of joyous bliss and warmer still, with thoughts of you When blue shade takes the day away I watch the dance of pale moonbeams weave wonder as the heaven’s sway awakening rapturous dreams I hear the song, the nightingale as smooth as silk, and as she sings she fills the night with the regale of lovers with unconfined wings On feathery winds, I long to fly to soar upon a sky of blue would not this dream yet pass us by a dream that starts and ends with you Who breathes upon my necks soft nape who murmurs love upon my ear the sweetest kiss, I can’t escape I reach for you to pull you near And it is then, that I will don a satin dress to greet the sky the pale moonbeams melding upon the strength of you, the curve of I The sparkle in your eyes that glow the whisper of your lips sublime you draw me in and let me know that I am yours and you are mine The wet of dew, the dancing waves the rise and fall, the fragile fawn the bend of trees on wind that saves the passion when my robes are gone Now give to me all that I crave and in return your hearts desire but don’t expect me to behave you sparked the flame, you built the fire! Is your sweet kiss not meant for me is it the songs of love divine illusions, dreams or fantasy and yet my gilded bedposts shine…. © 2026 Trace |
