A Thousand Stars

a short love poem for Valentines Day

If the night is worth a thousand dreams

And each one I dreamt of you,

If each dream contained a thousand stars

And I wished upon a few,

If each wish was for your sweetest dreams

To be filled with true love,

Then might a thousand of your dreams

Sparkle like starlight above?

 

 

And if these stars sparkling up above

Would shine of love so true,

Then in a thousand of your sweetest dreams

Would you picture love so new,

If a picture is worth one thousand words

I know what they would do,

Those one thousand stars up in the sky

Would spell; “I'm in love with you”.
