Thought to words
Time for a rhyme
Darkest thoughts
Happiest memories
All scribbled to the page
Or tapped upon a keyboard
Thumbed into a phone
All the same in the end
Yet each unique
A reflection of emotion
Some greyscale
Others ever so vibrant
Metered or freestyle
All important to someone
Cathartic in verse
Freedom or a curse
Echo in time
Scars of the heart
Terrors of the mind
Rips in the soul
All free to the world
For all to see
