snowy fateA Poem by ...another poem. reminds me of 'into the wild'
Trekking through the blistering cold,
Remembering warm times of old, Green grass fields and pretty flowers, Is what I see in final hours Searching through this sea of white Vision black, I see the light! What a foolish trek I made For this journey, life I trade Strength does rise, deep inside From the pain I will not hide Frostbitten fingers cling to life Overcome this saddened strife Defeat the wilds is what I must, Do to make this journey just But still my bones and body weary, My thoughts turn, dark and dreary If I was not a foolish boy, I would not be nature's toy Would lead a long and happy life, But now it ends, on cold dark night... © 2011 ...Author's Note
