Little Bird

Little Bird

A Poem by Michael Xavier
"

A poem about my partner.

"

She is a bird

Her wings carry her through rain

A simple word

Somehow surviving through the pain

Despite the battles

The pellets of water she will dodge and duck

Her confidence rattles

In an endless cycle she is stuck

Yet she prevails

Beautifully overcoming all

Telling her tales

Adhering to the happiness call

And here she stays

Ensuring confidence in those around

In sunlight rays

Her heartbeat rhythmic sound
