Writer's Prose

A poem expressing how it feels to be passionate about writing.

I am here, in my mind

Where glory and peace, I can find

This is where I am

It is the place where my true self began

I can learn a lesson, never been taught

It all lies within me, my very own thoughts

Coming up with things so magnificent and fierce

Gazing into the imagination where eyes cannot pierce

I can visit places I have never been to before

Or, I can make up a story, about love and war

It's amazing how words can paint images in my head

There isnt a book I don't like once it has been read

For me, writing is the highest form of expression and art

Because, it is something that comes directly from the mind and...from the heart

Simply reading a story can change your entire outlook

Most don't even know how much can be within the covers of a book

All writers can sympathize

Their own mind has so much power, waiting to be realised

Opening up to a whole new world, within

A story can unfold, and never end

All of my influences and inspiration meld together

Coalescing into something, I hope, will be read forever

Writing is both personal and deep

Sharing your work requires faith in the leap

So, know that I share my emotions with you, all of my happiness and woes

I hope you can understand what my writing is, just by reading this little prose
