Queen Mother

Queen Mother

A Poem by derelictdemon@gmail.com

My serenity lies with you
My divinity lies in you
In a world built on lies
You've always told the truth

When I'm searching for change
You don't rattle chains
But you've shaken my core
As you ran through my veins

If it's love that you want
Then it's love that you've got
You took me to your breast
When I was left to rot
I have so much to give
Cuz you've helped me a lot
When the world sinks to new lows
You've placed me at the top

Hail to the Queen
The Darkness You bring
The Light that You shine
Infinitely
Hail to the Queen
Matriarch of my tree
Long live Your rule
Of Earth, Sky, and Sea

"In a world built on lies
You've always told the truth"

In a world where there is so much that is fake, the truth is hard to come by. This Queen Mother is a guiding light in a wilderness of darkness. All of us need a beacon. This poem has a spiritual quality about it, which I enjoyed.
