I am a rainbow is shades of grey

sparks of an unnamed fear inside you

I am the shadows lurking

the monster under your bed

and the evil behind your closet door

I am ice cold

black as obsidian

I burn you with my touch

and you wither and fall away into my arms

Some fear me

Some welcome me

Some cradle me close

Some try to defy me

In the end, I take them all

For I am master to the darkness

And my name is....
