Ode to My Heart

Oh heart, my heart

You’re fragile and small

You ache when in pain,

Breakable behind your wall

 

You’re a pool of emotion

You turn your hate to love

You bear sorrow in silence

You find strength from above

 

Oh heart, my heart

You hide secrets in your core

You revel in solitude

You’re like the light behind a door

 

You’re a token of many things

You sing silver, black, and red

You’re friendship, hate and love

Tied together by a thread
