NEVER SAID FOREVERA Poem by XxVampyrCandyXxAnd we danced to a silent musical
We worked for it our entire lives Practicing and Practicing Over and over Keeping in mind Practice makes Perfect We practiced for the opening night We practiced for a show that sold no tickets Tickets printed in invisible ink We became actors of a new page Within a new book Filled with old stories We hung on parentheses smiles We Danced to metaphorical orchestras Heartbeats, the bass line Too irregular We will never escape our own heart murmurs So we let it live And we danced to a silent musical A musical played by air like instruments We converted to oxygen like a new religion And I’d have to say in realization that I never said We’d go on forever © 2009 XxVampyrCandyXx |
