We live in a hypocritical world

Where what everyone hears is the opposite of the truth

People hurt the ones they supposedly love

People put down the ones they supposedly envy

We live life full of pain, deceit, and loss

But we continue to make the tiniest of happiness worth while

Post pone the inevitable for the sake of what we might learn

There is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow

No winning lottery number

Today will be the same as tomorrow

Tomorrow will be the same as yesterday

But we will
