They slept beneath the stars,

And danced under the sunlight,

They numbed their sorrow with kisses,

And loved a love so bright.

 

They reached into each other’s soul,

And held on tight,

They blinded themselves to hate,

And loved a love so right.

 

They held each other close,

Before giving into the night,

They each lost their life in the other’s eyes,

And their love soared like a spring-time kite.

 

He said Dove this heart of mine,

Has soared so but once in this life time,

He said Baby my mind stops thinking,

Only when your lips touch mine.

Whats really pretty is that death of the self "they each lost their life in the other's eyes". I loved that union of love in your work in, which the two voices loose themselves completely but find something greater in the other. You really captured the selflessness of true love and how through it they're able to let go of all of the worldly things that don't really matter. You put a lot of soul into your writing, it shows
