A girl and her friend.

A night in time I told you

The secrets of my heart

The wishes of an escapee

Like thunder’s beating heart

 

She whispered sweet

The minds of me

Truth be told, I told you

She was my star, my beating heart

 

An anchor of calm wind

But when tears are dried

The lies in sight

Simply a solemn whimper

 

Was all that I could give.
