I Tasted of the Rain Water TodayA Poem by Brian 'Yeti' FieldsA poem that was originally inspired by hanging up a pair of rain-soaked pants, and holding the cuff of them in my mouth.I tasted of the rain water today It was sweet in its own essence But to compare it to anything else It was bitter I could taste something peculiar Inside this water from Heaven’s gate I could taste other’s woes in life I tasted my own pain I tasted my years on the mat I tasted the death of a child Even though, mine are not yet born And I cried I realized soon that this rain Is more than what it seemed, Because while this rain was cold It was warm I pondered that for a while, The paradox of the world And I realized this rain was not from the clouds But tears from eyes Eternal © 2008 Brian 'Yeti' FieldsReviews
