Aren't We A Kin?A Poem by Vicky Zhuang Yi-Yinthen why do we commit this sin...Aren’t we a kin?
If we are, Then why commit such a sin? The blood in our veins Isn’t it red? It’s a colour of love But we enjoy seeing the other in vain… The heart in our body Doesn’t it beat? It has a rhythm of unity But we just want to be higher than equality Aren’t we a kin? If we are, Then why commit such a sin? The air that we breathe Isn’t it peaceful? It has the power to soothe But we just want to see the others seethe The sights that we see Isn’t it the same? It symbolizes parity But we just want to see more inequity Aren’t we a kin? If we are, Then why commit such a sin? Why do we see more pain? Why do we see more suffering? Why is there more hunger? Why is there more thirst? What can we do? What can we try? Is this what we want? Is this what we care about? Aren’t we all a kin? Aren’t we all the same? Then why do we have to harm? Why do we have to take arms? Can’t we come together? Can’t we do something to end this strife? Isn’t it time to end this? Isn’t it time to finish this madness? Aren’t we a kin? If we are, Then why commit such a sin? © 2010 Vicky Zhuang Yi-YinReviews
