Battle of the Night

I cant sleep and I need to be

at night my thoughts torment me

The distractions of the day begin fading

And inside the demons start taking

In my head I'm trapped in thought

I feel the two halves of my soul who have done nothing but fought

And as the battle of the night rages

I can find for myself no safe haven

I'm not even sure which way is up or down

Sometimes I feels as though I could drown

And my thoughts lead me up to day breaking

Inside I thank whom ever is concerned for waking

Me from this hellish battle from within

Which I know for at least tonight has met its end

I really like the poem. Maybe think about where you end each line because it is similar to ending a sentence (Its where a short pause is made). Other than that it was great i loved it.
