A Secretly Strange SituationA Poem by ZaharaThis is a poem I wrote after a very strange thing that happened to me which I am not going to reveal just so it can be open to interpretation but let's just say it was scary, strange.Sweat prickling on my nose, Pink lips quivering, silently shaking, I look you straight into your eyes, Eyes that are piercing, sharp like daggers. "Just keep on walking", the noise in my head commands. "Just keep on - " I stare straight through his soul Empathy, I guess it was, I drowned in a flood of emotions . Your eyes spat strange words, feelings, thoughts at me. "He does not have anything but hatred for you" I dogged it. So I listen to that voice and let it usher me to the safe manger. Not before I look back once more. I would have hated you, were your eyes not a window to your soul. Shielding myself from pain, I followed that voice like a lost sheep to a shepherd. Alas!
