Gone and Back Again

Gone and Back Again

A Poem by Zall
"

Sometimes, when somebody says it's over, they don't mean it. But sometimes we're not sure.

"

Gone and Back Again
You stand there,
In the doorway,
That knowing smile,
Always there,
I’m in the car,
A bag in back,
You know I’ll be back,
I say I won’t come back to you,
But you know I always do,
For no tears fall,
Until I’m gone,
They all come out,
Now you’re not sure,
When,
If,
I’ll be back,
You stand there,
In the doorway,
That knowing smile,
Always there,
I’m in the car,
A bag in the back,
You know I’m back,
I won’t say I’m back to stay,
But you know I am,
Here to stay,
You stand there,
In the doorway,
That knowing smile,
Always there.

Wow...I love the use of repetition and I'm very glad the lines are spaced out for an easy read. I didn't realize this was another poem of the same author of a poem I just reviewed. lol..in anycase, this is another lovely poem. I really enjoyed reading it. I'm a sucker for these kinds of stories.. :)

Wow. Very intense. Every line seemed to get better! It's not bad at all. Kind of sad, and a bit degrading, but relateable. Wonderful work!
