The River Man
A Book by ZaneL
A kind of bildungsroman I've been trying to get a grips of. In the same strain as "Nausea" by Sartre, but a starker representation of 21st century urban alienation for those growing up now.

I'm mostly just trying to garner a feel for my writing style/ whether it sounds any good. I'm interested in whether the harsh introduction to the protagonists sombre tone fits the themes of the novel (of loss and loneliness and alienation), or whether jumping in at the deep end is just *too* stark for a reader.
Right now there's only 1 full chapter, half of chapter 2, and a section cut from the beginning I want to add in later, so it is in no means complete, I just cant some feedback for this initial beginning.
