That are running down my sides.

If this poem is literal and you bare the scars of some catastrophe, change your prospective and wear them as a battle wounded warrior no matter how they occurred.

However, I just noticed in your bio that some of your work discusses self-harm. If your scars are self-inflected I take back everything I said and beg you to come to your senses. I do not condone self pity and mutilation.

Your words are beautiful and haunting and the sadness is so great it takes the readers breath away. However, as a mother of a child with mental illness it pulls deeply on my heart strings.
